Job title : Engineer position at the European Center for Research in Medical Imaging – Marseille
Organization : European Center for Research in Medical Imaging (CERIMED, UMS Aix-Marseille University - CNRS 2012).
Mission :
- Use of animals for scientific purposes: caudal, retroorbital, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intraperitoneal intravenous injection, fluid samples from living rodents (mice, rat);
- Handling of radiotracers (notions of decay, radiation protection);
- Preclinical isotopic imaging in vivo microSPECT/CT, microPET/CT: preparation of rodents, acquisition of static and dynamic images, image processing (reconstruction, quantification), presentation of imaging data for statistical analysis;
- Project management and quality assurance: general notions of project management and quality management, traceability, confidentiality / GDPR, in conjunction with the CERIMED quality unit.

Remuneration : 12-month contract ; Starting date: January 2023 - depending on diploma and experience
Degrees required : Holders of a PhD, post-doc, or engineer level
Skills required : - Preclinical isotopic imaging in vivo microSPECT/CT, microPET/CT: within the framework of services or collaborative research projects carried out by CERIMED with the academic and industrial world, the ITA will have to independently manage the collection of individual doses of radiotracer, administration to rodents, micrSPECT/CT or microPET/CT acquisition, image processing and statistical analysis; - Promotion and dissemination: the ITA will be in contact with the representative of CERIMED on the COMEX of the CARNOT STAR Institute as well as with the business managers of the CARNOT STAR Institute. The ITA will represent and present CERIMED at events organized by the CARNOT STAR Institute or at events in which the CARNOT STAR Institute participates at national and European level, for the search for new service or collaboration contracts for CERIMED. The ITA will report significant actions on the CERIMED website; - Project management: in the context of services or collaborative projects, the ITA will have to manage the service contracts in connection with the interested parties (CERIMED, PROTISVALOR, customers and collaborators): respond to requests for information, establish quotes, track billing, report on project progress, resolve disputes; he will also manage the orders of consumables for the realization of the experiments. - Participation in team staff and research staff in the rodent preclinical nuclear sector of CERIMED, as well as in events organized by CERIMED.
