Background and mission :

Laboratory of AI and Biomedical Science (LABS) is recruiting now at all levels! LABS (https://labslaboratory. com/) focuses on developing and applying artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to various biomedical data related to human aging and disease. Dr. Junhao Wen is an Assistant Professor and the PI of LABS, based at the Department of Radiology at Columbia University (https://www.columbiaradiology.org/profile/junhao-hao-wen-phd) in New York (https://www.nygenome.org/about-us/our-people/faculty-scientists/affiliate-members/), and is also an Affiliated Member of the New York Genome Center. We look forward to working with the next generation of brilliant scientists.

Diplomas required :

Ph.D./MS/BS degree in any quantitative science, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and Neuroscience

Skills required:

Ph.D./MS/BS degree in any quantitative science, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and Neuroscience ,a working knowledge of programming, including Linux, Python, and R; having background knowledge in neuroimaging, machine learning, and/or genomics/genetics are encouraged ,Excellent communication and writing skills, Underrepresented individuals/students are encouraged to apply

Structure :

LABS’s interests include developing and applying statistical and AI/ML methodologies to “big data” in multi-omics and multi-organ data for aging and diseases like Alzheimer’s. We emphasize using advanced AI/ML techniques and multi-omics/organ data, including MRI, genetics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, to solve clinically relevant problems for precision medicine. All relevant directions can be pursued based on discussions, interests, and expertise.
