Job title : 2016/06/01 Imaging Research Scientist
Organization : The Site-Scientist GOPI Research will need to be highly motivated to broaden Philips exposure in a wide variety of disciplines, from Basic Science and Engineering to clinical translation and product incorporation.
Research will be directed toward advanced Imaging applications beyond current platforms with an emphasis on changing healthcare delivery and enhancing technology transfer to product development.
Mission : Key responsibilities
As Site Scientist in the Hospices Civils de Lyon, you will first collaborate with the clinical site pre-clinical and clinical teams and Philips group to focus ideas, derive agreed timelines, and evaluate resulting prototypes.
You are responsible to design, develop and implement a Research Plan that is consistent with the CRB (Clinical Research Board), IS (Imaging Systems) and IT initiatives, and also playing on the strengths of the Academic site itself.
You will provide leadership in authoring of technical reports, publication in peer-reviewed journals as well as preparing submissions for European Commission research grants.
Becoming responsible for coordinating work between the Philips stakeholders and the clinical site, you will act as the single point of contact for the Academic center of the HCL as well as Philips for the GOPI Research Agreement.
Your team
The Site Research Scientist will report to the Head of the CRB in Europe, a cross-Business, global organization providing scientific support and expertise to research initiatives.

Remuneration :
Degrees required : PhD in electronics, or physics, with a specialty in machine learning, computer vision and/or data mining
Skills required : Min 2 years’ research / clinical experience post- PhD; Substantial advanced research in imaging science with publication and academic grants track record; Clinical knowledge of medical imaging; In depth knowledge of imaging system design principles, along with a strong knowledge of medical applications that are in the field or are considered priorities by key Physicians on site; Working knowledge and past experience with various tools (such as C++ programming, Matlab, pulse sequence design, image-/signal-processing, PACS) strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. A professional level of French is also necessary to interact with some local teams.
